HOW DO I ADD GUARDIANS TO AN ATHLETE PROFILE?

You can add these in the mobile app, or on the web. You’ll just need an email address for the person you’re adding as a guardian. If they don’t have a SportsEngine account set up yet, they will be prompted to do so.

MY SON/DAUGHTER IS OLDER AND I WANT THEM TO GET MESSAGES FROM COACH. HOW DO I DO THAT?

You’ll need to go add their email address and phone number in their profile. Don’t forget though, that you may need to opt them in via your account settings to receive text notifications of new messages.

I'D LIKE MY SON/DAUGHTER TO RESPOND TO THEIR OWN RSVPS, HOW DO I DO THAT?

In order to do this, they will need to be set up as a guardian on their own profile. You’ll add it the same way you would a spouse or other guardian.

AS A COACH, I NEED TO HELP MY PARENTS GET SET UP AS A GUARDIAN. CAN I DO THAT? HOW CAN I TELL WHO ARE GUARDIANS FOR EACH KID?

Yep, as a coach, you can do that for any athlete on your roster.

A trick to seeing all your guardians is to print out the contact list in your TeamCenter. Use the SE “My Organizations” switcher to go to your team’s TeamCenter, click on the Roster tab, and click to “Print Contact List”. It shows all guardians for your athletes. (Note, if you just need to see guardians for a single athlete, you can do that in the mobile app via your roster)

I AM NOT RECEIVING MESSAGES AS TEXTS, HOW DO I DO THAT?

You’ll need to make sure you’ve opted in to receive texts. That goes beyond just adding your cell phone number (although you need to do that too).

I AM STILL RECEIVING MESSAGES FOR A TEAM I AM NO LONGER A PART OF, HOW DO I MAKE IT STOP?

In a similar fashion to opting in to text messages, you can opt out.

I HAVE MULTIPLE PROFILES FOR THE SAME KID, CAN I COMBINE THEM?

This is something that does come up for parents. They can merge profiles, under their account, that have been created over the years.

ON THE “TEAMS” LIST IN THE MOBILE APP, I SEE “MY TEAM”, “ADMIN” AND “FAN” WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THOSE?

My Team: Generally speaking, you’ll see this if you are the guardian of an athlete who is rostered on the team.

Admin: If you are a coach or team manager who has been assigned the admin permissions.

Fan: You simply favorited or followed the team but are not officially connected (through SportsEngine) to any athlete on the roster.

I’M LISTED AS A “FAN” IN THE MOBILE APP BUT AM A PARENT…. SHOULDN’T IT SAY “MY TEAM”?

If you’re the parent/guardian of an athlete on the roster, but see the team has a “Fan” tag next to it, it probably means you aren’t set up as a guardian of the athlete on the roster. There’s a number of ways this can happen, but almost always is due to the fact that a parent may have multiple profiles for the athlete and guardians weren’t set up correctly.

To solve, talk to the parent who registered the athlete for the program to add the fan parent as a guardian, or, as a coach, help them set it up via the roster. See above for links.

PARENT INSTRUCTIONS TO ARRANGE YOUR ACCOUNT TO RECEIVE MESSAGES FROM COACHING STAFF AND TEAM MANAGER THROUGH THE SPORT ENGINE APP

Create a Sport Engine Account
To create a Sport Engine account Click on “create an account” in the top left corner, both parents of the player should have an account with the club. You will have to verify your account via your email address. If you have an account already click “Login” and enter your username and password, your username will be your primary email, if you forgot your password click the "Forgot password" link.



Account Administration
Click the drop down Menu to get access to your account.

Add multiple emails to receive messages sent via your team account to you.

Click on My Profile then click “Add Email Address” you can add as many email address as you want.

 

Add Cell Phone Number so you can recieve texts.

To add a mobile phone number, do the following
> Click on the username drop-down menu
     > Select Account Settings.
            > Under Household click the name of the sub-profile.

Enter your mobile phone number and click Submit.

Under Contact Settings, click Add Phone Number. Enter the phone number and click Add Phone Number.

To receive emails and text messages from coaches and the team manager.

Click on “Account Settings”, under "SJEB Soccer" make sure that the box for Text and Email are both checked.

To link another Sportngin account so they receive the same messages as you.

Click on the add button under linked accounts in the bottom left corner and add the email address used by your partner.


SJEB TEAM PAGE ADMINISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR COACHES AND TEAM MANAGERS

Add Team Schedule

1) Login to the club website in the top left.

2) Go to your team page:

3) Click the “Edit/User” button so that the Edit is yellow and you see yellow construction below.

4) Click on “Manage Team” a separate page will open.

5) Click on “Schedule”

6) Click on “+New Event” to add a training session Click on “+New Game” to add a game

7) Add event title ie “02 Academy Training”  the date, time, gps address and any other notes ie uniform specific directions. Check the All Day Event box to set the time and the repeat check box if you want it to repeat weekly, bi weekly etc. If you want to email an event invite make sure the box is checked at the bottom for “invite all players and staff on the team”

8) To send RSVPs to players click RSVPs and select the players you want to invite to each game. They will receive an email to the primary account holders email associated with the player.

Add Games
Same as above but select Add Game. When you enter the score to the game the score will appear on the game ticker on the home page and it will automatically be posted to Twitter and Facebook. 

Add players to roster that have registered online
All players MUST register via our website, once they are registered they can be added to the roster. 
> Click "Roster"
 > Click "Add Player"
  > Click "Import player from Registration"
   > Click "SJEB/Rush 17/18 Registration" from drop down options
    > Click "Filters" then "add rule", then "please select your division"  then select your age group.
      > Check the box of the player you want to add and save.

Message Players
Click on “Roster” and click “Message” Click who you want to send the message to or select all. Enter Subject then enter text, anything 140 characters will be sent as an email and a text.

Team Page Admin

Click on any of the buttons across the top to edit Roster, Game Schedule, Player Stats, Teams Stats, Add photos, Add Videos.

Click on the “Add Page Element” to add text blocks, photos, links, Photo galleries, a video, plus many more options. Feel free to experiment with your teams page, you can add and delete elements and move them around page. Click on “Add Layout Container” to add containers with different layouts. Add an “Event Aggregator” to show your team calendar on the Team page.
